Prep for Breathwork Class

*PLEASE READ THIS PAGE THOROUGHLY*

what you’ll need.

MEETING: We’ll be joining via zoom and recommend using the app to ensure it stays up during the breathing portion of the class. You can download zoom free here.

MUSIC: If you’d like to use Bree’s curated playlist, you’ll need to be able to play music from Spotify [this exact playlist] or Apple Music [this exact playlist] during our session while also listening to Bree’s voice via zoom. If you’re not a paid subscriber to the apps listed and you want to avoid ads, you can use your own (soft, meditative) music for the breathwork portion of class but we recommend having some music to play.

BREATHWORK: If you’re new to this type of breathwork or unsure if you’ve tried it before, please BE SURE to complete the introductory meditation on this page BEFORE our class. You’ll get the most out of our session this way!

TIMING: The day of, we’ll be starting right on time in meditation so you’ll want to have your space set up and ready to go BEFORE we start.

WHAT TO HAVE: Please also have a pen and paper to write with as we’ll be doing some processing before and after the breathwork. See more below on how to prepare for the session.

HOW TO SETUP YOUR SPACE

You’ll want to be in a comfortable, undisturbed place for the entirety of the class. This particular breathwork technique can bring up intense emotions - it’s a way the body can release stuck energy, so try to create a nurturing, safe environment for yourself.

For the breathing portion, it’s best to lay flat on the floor (maybe with a yoga mat) or on your bed or sofa to ensure a balanced oxygen flow through the blood and body. You may want to cover yourself with a blanket or have some layers handy as your body temperature may change. If you’re using a pillow or props, it’s better that they’re on the flatter side.

If you’d like my support for the breathing portion of the class, please set your camera so that I can see at least the upper part of your body UP CLOSE. Dim light is ok, but enough for me to see you clearly (you can use an eye pillow or something like it if you prefer).

You may feel inspired to have your favorite crystals with (or on) you or use essential oils to heighten the experience. Think about setting up your space intuitively and intentionally; perhaps with a candle, incense or familiar objects to create a healing container for your transformation!

BEFORE WE MEET

PRE-MEDITATION

If you’re new to breathwork, make sure you’ve completed the introductory meditation. This modality can be intense and we want you to have the best experience possible for the longer live session. Download the free meditation on this page.

SET INTENTIONS

Consider your highest intention for the class. What limiting habits or perceptions would you like to learn from? What are you ready to welcome and/or embody? What might your soul be yearning for you to move into and embody more fully?

CLEAR VESSEL

It’s best to not eat a big meal (or drink any alcohol, etc.) just before we meet. You’ll want your body to be relatively clean so the energy can be used for your desired transformation.

Thank you for signing up and reading through this page so you can get the most out of your session!
